Dr. Marco A. Paez joined Circle City GI with great excitement in August 2019 and is dedicated to delivering personalized and compassionate care throughout the Inland Empire Community.
Dr. Marco A. Paez was born in Miami, Florida. He attended Miami-Dade College and Florida International University (FIU). He graduated with a competitive degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Psychology. He then matriculated at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. where he graduated with his medical doctorate degree in 2012. During his medical school training, he studied abroad in Argentina where he provided patient care to the community. His talents and passion for patient care took him to Chicago, Illinois where he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine from Loyola University Medical Center. During his residency, he received a resident research award for his work on Celiac Disease. He then completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. During his fellowship, he was privileged to have worked alongside leading expert physicians in Hepatology and Liver Transplantation at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He also completed rotations in Gastroenterology at the Washington D.C., Veterans Affair Medical Center, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and Kaiser Permanent Medical Center in Northern Virginia. Dr. Paez is passionate about all aspects of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He has a particular clinical interest in Interventional Gastroenterology as he recently completed his advanced fellowship training in Interventional Endoscopy and Endosonography at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Paez is double board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is also a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) and has published journal articles and abstracts relative to advances in clinical Gastroenterology. During his free time, he enjoys everything about the Miami Dolphins, Heat and Marlins and is an avid fan of the Liverpool Football Club, as well as enjoys exercising, traveling, playing the saxophone and most of all spending time with his wife and two baby boys. He speaks and writes fluently in Spanish. |

Dr. Lee grew up on the east coast in Maryland where he completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland at College Park. Afterwards, he obtained his medical degree in 2011 at Loma Linda University. With his increased interest in the field of medicine and gastroenterology, he continued his medical training at Loma Linda University where he completed his Internal Medicine residency in 2014 and Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship in 2017.
Dr. Lee has been in practice since 2017. Prior to joining Circle City, he practiced at the Riverside Medical Clinic for 3 years, where he provided comprehensive care to patients of the Inland Empire. With special interest in motility disorders, Dr. Lee also helped to initiate the diagnostic motility testing program at Riverside Community Hospital.
Dr. Lee’s passion is to manage patients utilizing a whole person approach. He strives to provide compassionate and high-quality care in the ever-changing field of medicine. While not spending time taking care for patients, he enjoys cooking, playing golf, running half marathons, and rooting for his beloved Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles.
